Skin Boosters

Frequently Asked Questions

How do they work?

Skin Boosters increase the levels of hydration in the skin and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, improving fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in firmer and younger looking skin

Will they change my appearance?

With recent aesthetics trends leaning towards a more natural look, skin boosters are a perfect treatment for those looking to improve skin's appearance without changing the structural look of the face.

Which skin booster is right for me?

At Eden Medical Aesthetics we stock a variety of skin boosters. These include brands such as Profhilo, Seventy Hyal & Belotero Revive. After a free consultation we will discuss the best treatment course to suit your skins needs.

What are the active ingredients of skin boosters?

Skin booster injections consist of a soft, gel-like substance called Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This is a substance that occurs naturally in the skin and holds incredible amounts of moisture. However, HA depletes with many factors including age, sun damage, genetics, smoking and environmental factors which is what causes skin to become dry and dehydrated and as a result appears aged. Some brands consist of additional ingredients and are suited to differing skin areas / types.

How are Skin Boosters Administered?

Skin Boosters are injected using microdroplet or mesotherapy techniques consisting of tiny injections. This process of delivering skin boosters also triggers the skin’s own repair response, resulting in collagen production and improved skin elasticity.
