Vitamin D Injections

Vitamin D is a vitamin which is used in the regulation of calcium and magnesium absorption from the gut, it is also important for the growth and health of bones. Vitamin D comes from two sources, it can be ingested from foods and supplements or be produced in the skin once it is exposed to sunlight.

At Eden Medical Aesthetics we can offer Vitamin D injections and blood testing to identify Vitamin D deficiency. We can also monitor disease that interferes with fat absorption like Crohn’s disease. The injection is administered into the muscle (known as an intramuscular injection). You may experience some pain, swelling or itching where you had the injection. This is usually mild and will wear off quickly.

How will I obtain my blood results?

Patients will receive their results within 2-3 days. Our partner laboratory operates on a 24/7 basis and all samples are tested as quickly as possible after receiving them. In-house GPS will then review the results and communicate directly with the patient via e-mail. If results are of a critical concern an in-house GP will contact you directly by telephone and provide onwards advice.
